Android Question Googlemaps Map_Ready Event?

Can't seem to get this event to fire. Anyone have any suggestions?

Created map in a Panel with Designer. Relevant code as follows:

Sub Globals
Private gmap As GoogleMap
Private MapFragment1 As MapFragment
End Sub

Sub Activity_Create(FirstTime As Boolean)
Starter.phn.SetScreenOrientation(1) 'set screen orientation to portrait

Activity.LoadLayout("MapG")
Wait For MapFragment1_Ready
gmap = MapFragment1.GetMap

.
.
.
End Sub

Sub MapFragment1_Ready
Msgbox("MapFragment1_Ready!", "Info")
End Sub

1. Please use [code]code here...[/code] tags when posting code.
2. Use Log or MsgboxAsync instead of Msgbox.

The event is not needed and is overridden by the Wait For call.
