Eventually I chose this solution instead: [class] Voice Recognition using api.ai service Note that text to speech is implemented in the iPhone library. Upvote 0

John Woodsmall Active Member Licensed User Longtime User Aug 23, 2015 #5 the idea is to enter a birth date: 12/08/1942 - mine on the android i speak: "12 'plus' 8 'plus' 1942" and i get back: 12+8+1942 which i can then process and get the birth date. Works pretty well. but here they say i am to create an entity and then an intent. which i do and it is meant to convert twelve into 12. but so far no joy. but i will continue. Upvote 0
