I've been looking for a way to add a home screen shortcut to my apps on a Sony Android TV 4k, but I can't find it. The apps will install and work fine, but I have to use a file manager in the Android TV to navigate to all the apps and launch them from there.
There is a way, with the file manager, to press and hold the enter button on the TV remote until a pop up will ask if you want to create a shortcut for the app on the home screen, but it does nothing. The app logo image is set for regular phones and tables and it works fine there, but I want it to also work with the TV which use not only a different image (320x180dpi) but different code in the manifest. See here, and here.
I found instructions when using Java, but not for doing it with B4A.
Can any one provide a working sample or code? Any ideas, please?
Thank you.
