Android Question How to keep bluetooth device awake

Hi All,

I have an external bluetooth barcode reader that will return barcodes to my tablet when scanned.
However the device will hibernate when not used for a short time. Is there a way to keep communicating with the device so that if does not go to sleep and lose connectivity?

It depends on this specific scanner. You can send data to the scanner with AscynStreams.Write.

You could also check the manual of you barcode scanner.
Often it's possible to set this time by scanning certain codes. (I know it works like this with the motorola scanners we use for our clients).

I did look up the manual and I was able to turn off Auto Power Off.
