Guys,
is there a method to ask the Android OS what the volume serial number is of its flash memory (\mnt\sdcard\)?
When I connect the tablet to a windows PC, after mounting, it settles its flash memory normally as e.g. drive F:
When I run a command shell and simply ask for a DIR listing of F:, at the top of the dos window it lists this volume serial number in a format like AC91-7B94
Does such command exist in Android? I need a ''unique'' identifier per tablet (99.999999999% have flash memory), in order to establish which tablet I am communicating with..
Thx
Eric
