Wish IDE, Prompt reload of modified file(s)

It would be helpful if the IDE, upon getting focus, would check all project files on disk for modification since last save/load, and prompt to reload. Or, at least a button/menuItem to perform that check/operation.

This allows us to use any editor or compare/merge utility to work on code files, without having to exit and reopen the IDE to reload.

Note that you don't need to exit the IDE. You can always click on the file in the recent files list and reload it.
