this is what i'm trying to achieve... The ability for user to add images within text... Which is the best way to get this?

There is no simple editable control that will allow the user to add images in the text. You can show (not edit) images and text with BBCodeView.

You can use xCLV and add image fields and text fields to create something that is similar to what you are looking for.
