iOS Question InApp test accounts etc

Hi Guys,

Is it mandatory on iStore to setup test accounts etc for InApp approval or is it at developers discretion to do inhouse testing to make sure all works as intended?

On the same genre of thought. Can I use the Adhoc provisioning profile to test Inapp products purchases and use the special offers that I create to negate the costing and in essense have an alternate testing methodology that is less complicated to setup?

I'm not sure.
In the long run it is probably better to create a test account.
