Installing Android SDK

Vista SP2 32-bit Home Premium, fully updated.

Following B4A installation instructions, all went fine except (1) Java SDK user registration wouldn't work as HTTP404 error from Internet Explorer;
(2) Android SDK and SVD Manager hangs with message:
"Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected error: java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter must be non-empty". It just sits there with the progress bar throbbing. :sign0080:

So, please where do I go from here? I realise it's not a B4A problem, but I really don't know who else to ask, and if it's preventing people from using B4A then you need to know about it.

Thanks

Thanks Erel.

I'm not at all bothered about the JDK registration; the Android SDK problem is the important one.

Can anyone tell me how to change an URL which is apparently built into the installation program? Is it following a script in an editable file somewhere? Surely I can't be the only one having this problem?

Thanks

Ah! Found it in the end, and everything worked. Perhaps this is something worth including as a tip in the installation guide? After all, it's likely that most prospective B4A users like me will never have seen the Android installation program before.

Have installed B4A trial and am about to set up the emulator.

Thanks
