There is no intent system in iOS.

You can send mails from your app: Mails and SMS messages

using all of the examples, the pattern fb does not pass, it always returns false

App is a special object. It doesn't need to be initialized.

It is also a mistake to url encode the whole string as you break it.

I've made this two working tests:

WebView1.LoadHtml("<a href='fb://profile'>test</a>")

and

App.OpenUrl("fb://profile")

fb://post/ doesn't work as it is written here: http://wiki.akosma.com/IPhone_URL_Schemes

However this works:

WebView1.LoadHtml("<a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=encodedurl&t=encodedtext'>test</a>")
