There are 2 coins and the scales. How to find a false coin if both of them have the same weight?

Turns out that the obvious answer "There is no fake coin" is wrong.

This is a question when you give the right or wrong answer but the question when they want to see how do you react to such a question.

Moral of the story - ask the interviewer to lend you 10 coins then .....hit the strategy...... The assumption being the interviewer has real coins.

I was very very often the interviewer - and often told I asked the trickiest questions -BUT I never thought of that one....😁

take another one - from the same interview

There are 3 cylindrical jars - each has 5 liters in volume.

First filled with the water for 5 liters, third filled for 3 liters.

How to fill the 2nd jar with 4 liters? You can't touch other jars.
