Hi, I'm new here, this is my first post.
I have 6 android tablets which need to display a timer which is timing on
a 7th tablet. I don't want any wires or connections to any of the tablets.
Is it possible to send the time every second as a data packet, as a string over wi-fi so that the 6 tablets will receive and display it.
Thanks for any help.

Can Bluetooth be used to send data to more than one device ? I thought the devices needed to be paired for bluetooth. Are there any practical examples anywhere I can look at where one device is set up for sending, another for receiving and the sender sends a string. Thanks

good question about the multi pairing :)
I only have a phone and tablet so I can't test it for you.

there is a search box at the top right of this page. entering bluetooth there would've giving you this one between the search results

How will the "time" server know the IP addresses of the other devices?

The idea is, one tablet will do the timing and send the time (UDP I guess) every second to the 6 tablets for displaying. I was thinking of sending a UDP packet to the broadcast address of the subnet where all 7 are connected to.
