Hi

I cant believe I've spent almost 30 minutes trying to find an error on my code (component creation), only to find out that its a close }.

I need something to detect these kinds of things..
Search for javascript syntax validation on Google (codebeautify, jlint, jhint, etc...)

I use notepad2 for most of my text/code editing.

there when you're next to a { it turns red and it highlights the end } aswell. if it doesn't highlight anything or at a wrong position you know something is wrong.
