Android Question jMqtt close method takes time

Hi,
I am facing an issue with the .close method of an MQTTclient object. When I call the method, it takes about 5 seconds to complete and during this time it hangs the app. Is it normal? Any chance to make it faster? is there any time out constant in the lib that can be adjusted?
