Hi all

Having an issue with Jrdc connection over wifi from a laptop. Server runs in the command window on the laptop with no problem and
the laptop browser gives the right message
http://127.0.0.1:17178/test
RemoteServer is running (04/29/2020 06:42:17)
Connection successful.

On the phone browser putting in the rdc IPAddress along with :17178/test
ie 192.168.0.7:17178/test returns
ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE
The RDC ip address and latop ipconfig addresses are the same
Any ideas

Thanks

1) phone not connected to WiFi
2) phone not connected to same IP address range and router is not routing
3) WiFi (the particular SSID the phone is connected to) is isolated and cannot access resources on the LAN side, only on the wan side
4) Router is blacklisting phone’s IP address/MAC address
5) Firewall on computer is blocking access
And on and on and on
6) Phone connected to wrong AP

Phones are on the same wifi, and trying the right address, and can connect to the internet through the router.
Must be a router issue, the same phone has connected to the same laptop via jrdc before although through a different router. Will have to look into the wifi settings.
Thanks

It is not likely that the router config is a configuration challenge because normally network traffic between devices in the same sub-net doesn't flow through the router. Most likely it is a firewall issue because everything is working via the internal loop-back address 127.0.0.1 which is bypassing the firewall.
