Java Question Libraries can be obfuscated during library compilation

The documentation for Compile to Library says:

- Code obfuscation - Libraries can be obfuscated during library compilation. Strings will not be obfuscated in this mode.

This sounds as if obfuscation is an option, but surely it happens in every case when a library is compiled?

It happens when the compilation mode is set to Release (Obfuscated).

No. You can use proguard to obfuscate the Java project.
