Mark SMS as read

I have an app that reads sms messages, bubt how do Imark it as read, so the system wont think it is new?
sms.read seems to only see if the message has been read, but does not mark it as read.

Currently the SMS features are read-only.

Maybe i'm wrong

The thread that you link talk to add the log message after sending.
In this thread we talk about to mark as read a received message
