iOS Question move phone contacts to remote oracle database

i need to create a app that will take the phone contacts and insert them
into our on-line database (Oralce10).

i have done this many times with html(rest protocol).
but it is not clear how to get from the contacts in the phone
out to the on-line database.

i see the example of writing to a table and displaying to the screen.
but the next step to oracle?

stupid questions:

1.) how do i get b4j
2.) the server: is that my database server?
or what or where is it?

i need to understand this.

i want to access my database from a phone.

do i need another server?
