iOS Question Network Scanner

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has done any network scanners in B4i ?

I am aiming to scan a network to see what IP addresses are active on a network.

Would creating multiple threads and then pinging IP addresses be the best way or is there a better way to scan all IP addresses on a network subnet to see if it's active or not ?

You don't need to create multiple threads as all the network related libraries are already multithreaded internally.

Would the best way to ping all the IP addresses or is there another way in detecting the IP addresses if they are active ?

I know some devices block the IP address from being pinged.

ping did not work at all. dhpc server whould know ip adresses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol
you can filter network packtes and read her ip.

11. 32 bits that contain the source IP address,
12. 32 bits that contain the destination address.

Note that there is no "ping" functionality in iNetwork library.
