The IDE flashed this message: note that the message is in Italian, but my IDE is set to English

[IDE message - 6:30:49]
An error occurred.
Il tag di inizio 'boolean' sulla riga 1, posizione 1723 non corrisponde al tag di fine di 'body'. Riga 1, posizione 2119.

Are you parsing some HTML?

It's an IDE message, not from my application, which, by the way, does not parse any HTML

Probably related to one of the libraries. Do you see it when you right click on the libraries - refresh?

actually no
i haven't updated any of them recently
i can't even reproduce it at will
it came up frequently the day when i started the thread, but now not anymore (on the same project)

If it starts happening again then enable IDE logs: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/posts/50478/ and post them after it happens.
