I am developing apps for in-house use with a mid-size (1800 person) manufacturing company. These are primarily for status and work order information to supervisors and certain employees. We have WiFi throughout the plant and will have information from various sources organized in a database with a server routing the information via web services. People will carry pocket sized and a few tablet sized android devices. I am just curious if there are other users doing this type of development since I have found little information by Googling. Almost every manager here who hears of these projects come up with a need. This could be a high growth area!

Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Jun 7, 2011 #2 Two relevant resources which I recommend you to check: Basic4android Search: HttpUtils Basic4android Search: Connect MySql I'm working on another relevant resource which will make it simpler to connect multiple devices to a PC in a way that is "firewall friendly". I hope that a first draft will be available soon.
