Not connect using HttpUtils

Hi!
I am using httputils for getting response from webservices in my host. The question is when the server is not responding or not alive how can I know that server is down?

It returns some error or flag to know it /?

How is this related to the question??

It is recommended to use HttpUtils2 instead of HttpUtils.
Success flag will be false when the resource is not available.
