Hi,

I'm keen on implementing some online high scores for my games, but I do not have a website/ server . I need to use some web based free options.

Anyone has any advice on this?

Thank you!

Cheers!

You get what you pay for - free web hosting looks attractive but is often oversubscribed and abused with unacceptable down times.

Are you prepared to pay for reasonable web hosting or are you searching for just a free solution?

Martin.

Hi warwound,

Thanks for the reply. I am not wanting to run my own site though.

I am looking along the lines of any available options where your high scores can be stored online, like what openfeint and score ninja does. Or if someone is in the midst of working out those libraries (my java is rusty.. lol!)

Cheers!

Hi thedesolatesoul,

Thank you for the guides. I will check out if any hosting idea will work my way.

If I ever get this to work out, I'll share it here. Until then... hope someone comes up with the openfeint / score ninja libraries :D

Cheers!

Yeah, they have their library. Just hoping some kind soul (or maybe a desolate soul.. lol!) would be.. err... kind enough to build the library for B4A.

Would help a lot of people... as high scores give some sort of longevity to games.

Cheers!

Hi Erel,

Thank you for your reply.

What about some of the more mature sites out there like openfeint or scoreloop? Any chance of their libraries being ported over?

Cheers!
