You can do this in a pseudo kind of way.

If you place a blank or semi-transparent full sized panel below your panel, which doesn't consume any click events, then display your panel on top of this. Consume the click events or whatever and then hide both panels at the same time.

Hi

I'm trying to achieve the same thing, however, I don't see how I can turn off clicking of the "modal" panel. If I click on the panel it still interacts with the controls underneath it. Am I missing an option somewhere?

Thanks

yes, definitely bringing to front. Do you think it isn't working because the panel's parent is the main activity?

yeah, I guess that's a possibility. Move the transparent panel to the main activity.

Make sure your transparent panel is 100%x, 100%y.

Sorry guys..

Checked again and realised that the panel had been disabled which was the reason why it didn't work. Enabled and now perfect! Just what I was needing.

Thank you for your help.
