Parsing Error

Hi,

I have made a project that runs fine on a number of devices.
The problem is that I have one I can not install it on.
The error is : Parse Error: There is a problem parsing the package.
My project are made for android 1.6 -> and the device runs androis 2.2.
I have no idea what the problem can be.

Hope someone has an idea.

Do you have access to this device? Can you connect it to the IDE?

Hi Erel,

No. He got the program via Android Market. I have about 80 downloads on 14 days on this program and it is the only I have heard from. He got HTC Legend phone.

Can I ask him to install logcat. Will this help?

Did you also suggest to remove the app via Menu -> Manage Applications and then a fresh install?

That did't help. He still can not install. Still Got the Parse error.

I ask if he had a root device.

Installation went fine on my Legend (not rooted).

I think I had that error once on the Desire, as i remember that was because the apk had been damaged in transfer.

Perhaps he doesn't have enough free memory on his device?

I can install on my Samsung phone and Samsung Note 1. But not on my friend's Samsung Note 10.1.
Attached is the screenshot of the device info. I checked the spec is similar to my phone version as well.
Any idea what will be the cause of that?

The problem is solved. Suspect is dued to the apk corruption on the email.
There is no problem when download and install from the website.
