Android Question Performance of Basic4Android 5 IDE

I recently upgraded from Basic4Android 3.2 to version 5 and am loving the new features, but I now find the IDE very slow and unresponsive, so much so that it actually makes typing code or designing layouts awkward.

My computer is admittedly not high-performance, but it ran the older version of B4A perfectly.

Any tips for improving performance?

What spec of PC are you running Andrew?

Windows 8.1, 1.9 GHz, 4GB RAM.

I don't expect things to run lightning-fast on this machine, but I didn't expect B4A 5 to be so much slower than B4A 3 was. Was just wondering why this is, and whether there's any functionality in B4A 5 that can be turned off in order to remedy it.

Check Tools - IDE Options - Disable implicit auto complete. It will make is faster.
