Is there a way to tell if a user has a Physical Keyboard attached and disable the on screen keyboard?

This would be very helpful for user running my App on a Chromebook (now not having a Chromebook I don't know if it disables the on screen keyboard automatically)


NOTE: I know that turning on and off the on screen keyboard is a feature of Chromebooks.

But can I turn it on or off from within my program

I don't think that it is possible to do it programmatically.

i would expect that this is a feature by os, that if a hardware keyboard exist the screen keyboard did not pop up.
