B4J Question [Pi3] SNMP Agent on Pi3+ and with GPIO status replies

Hello,

This is a newbi question of installing a SNMP Agent which responds on SNMP requests with the status of some GPIO pins.

Which ist the best way to start? (e.g.: B4J-Bridge, B4J UI Applications with Liberica JDK)
Which libraries are necessary? (e.g. the jPi4J - Raspberry Pi GPIO controller, etc..)

Never worked with SNMP. Do you want to implement one?

jPi4J is needed to access the GPIO pins.

B4J-Bridge is also needed. Liberica JDK is only needed if you want to create a UI app.

Well, I am planning to fetch the status of the GPIO pins via snmp. Like PIN x and y do have contact and then switching a 3rd one and for monitoring giving that info out via snmp.

I did that in VB6 on my own (listening on a snmp request, extracting the OID and according to that OID reading the values, packing a snmp reply and send it back). Sure not on a Pi but on a Windows server (without using the Windows SNMP capability).

A SNMP Agent out there may could be used, but this is a issue not related to B4J on a PI, I assume.
