Whenever I try to select an icon for my project I see -

BASIC4ANDROID.EXE - NO DISK

THERE IS NO DISK IN THE DRIVE
PLEASE INSERT A DISK INTO THE DRIVE\DEVICE\HARDDISK\DR4.

The path it is looking in is perfectly valid.

I cannot get rid of it by rebooting.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

I get the standard file dialog and it's pointing the folder where I keep all my source code. It just comes up with insert disk thing.

This problem has suddenly started, for months all has been OK. It happened about six months ago and disappeared after a couple of days.

I think I will have to reinstall BAsic4android. Is this normally a straight forward process?

Many thanks.

I am now getting the same message when I try to create a new program in my normal folder. After a while it just says B4A is not responding. I can load up another program's source code from the same folder with no problem.

Could you point me to where I download b4a from? I can only see an option to purchase it on the website. I am full subscriber.

I'm afraid I can't find a way to take a screen shot. I'm going to reinstall. I can't find out how to download B4A, the only links on the website ask for payment. Could you tell me how to do it please?

Thanks

I've investigated this further. Just posting in case anyone else hits the same problem.

I keep all my B4A folders on a removable drive.

Somehow I developed a version of the problem described in this link

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330137

I changed the drive letter of my drive.

Rebooted

Changed the drive letter back to what it was in the first place.

This sorted the problem.

It's obviously a known windows problem. The strange thing is it only seem to affect B4A, there was no problem getting word docs off the drive for example.

Thanks

PS I reinstalled B4A from a link I found in an old email.
