I have installed B4Android 2.71
I have also installed Android 22
When I just try running the default app to see if things are working
I get -

NO DEVICE FOUND

I then goto TOOLS and run RESTART ADB SERVER

I then try to start the B4ABRIDGE

It gives me the options of
Connect - Bluetooth (I have no bluetooth)
Connect - Wireless (I dont have a wireless device)

In previous versions of B4Android, I was able to run on an emulator on the PC

I am running Windows 7

What do I need to do to get back on track please ?

Thanks

Also try searching for the program:

MoboRobo

It's pretty good at finding drivers for your device so that you can access it over the Android Debugging Bridge via the USB cable.

Your problem is usually because you don't have the correct USB drivers installed.

Oh, sorry if that was me causing the thread to be moved

I have a chinese tablet and couldn't get the ADB to see it until I installed that program which I admit has a lot to do with purchasing stuff, I only use it for the drivers though, never paid anything.

I did at one point manage to install a driver so that the ADB could see my tablet but it seems to have uninstalled itself somehow.

I hope the makers of the tablet will eventually come with some new drivers for it.

If I find a new source for USB drivers I'll let you know.

B4ABridge Settings

I have now created an emulator which has a green tick next to it

As before, I am told to set up/select the B4Bridge

The options are

1) Connect - Bluetooth (I dont have bluetooth)
2) Connect - Wireless (I Dont have a wireless requirement as I want to run off an emulator which has a nice Green tick next to it)

I am running on Windows 7

Neither 1 NOR 2 want to work for me

APOLOGIES APOLOGIES APOLOGIES

I think I have something !!!!

Running AVG Manager I was able to get the Emulator to show on the screen and I am now able to run the template program (which does nothing other than tell me that I now have something which just may work)

No doubt I'll be back with more basic questions but in the mean time, I am getting a smile on my face !

Thanks again

If you set up an emulator then first you need to run it, it can take ages to start up.

When it is running merely clicking on the Run button (the blue triangle button) in B4a should be enough, if you have more than one device running, be it virtual or actual device then you should be presented with a dialog that asks you which device you'd like to install on to.

I did also mean to mention, I hope its ok to mention here, someone found something called 'BlueStacks' which is a PC app that runs Android programs and you can install to that too.

Do you have a physical Android device?

Some things are best tried out on real devices.

Everything you need to know about virtual devices (the emulator) is covered very well in Klaus's excellent Beginners Guide.
