Android Question Push Notification

Hi Erel ,


I was successful in Testing the Push Notification in my mobile. With reference to the same I have some question since I am new the concepts and logic.


1. How I can send Message to Multiple People. How this is done.

2. How I can send Message to Selected People. How this is done.

3. How I can send Message to Single Person. How this is done.


I know may be this is not related to the product . but I would like know how this is being done. So that I can integrate the same.


If you can provide the link it will be appreciated.

Are you using the B4J tool to send the messages?

I have not decided it yet . I can send it thorugh B4J or C# program . but I wanted to understand the concept and do it

Start with sending with B4J.

You have two options:
1. Manage the groups with topics. Each user can be subscribed to multiple topics. You can then send the messages to the groups you like.
2. Send the firebase token to your server and send to a list of tokens instead of topics.

You can get the Token from the Firebasemessagin Object in the resposible service.

fm.Token

something like

    Do While fm.Token = Null Or fm.Token = ""
        Sleep(250)
    Loop
    Dim token As String = fm.Token
    ' Upload the Token to your Server

I am still confused. can you let me know how the below concept will work and what needs to be.

1. I will be developing an applications.
2. the same will be downloaded by several users.
3. Assume that total 100 users downloaded.

now I want to send notification to Single person with different notifications. each person will have their own notification
now I want to send notification to 10 person same notification . All Person will have same notification
now I want to send messages to 50 person same notification . All Person will have same notification

how this can achieved. do i need to take DeviceID and store it on a server when the APP is installed.

Use registration_ids to send to multiple tokens.

You will need to manage the tokens yourself.
