Q:Accelerometer in servicemodule ?

Is there something difference in using
GPS and Accelerometer in Servicemodule?

I have made an app loading Coordinates to www.gpsgate.com(Buddytracker)
where app is working as service, everything is ok and running fine
even when Display goes to "Sleep".

My problem is a new App I am playing with.

StepCounter using Accelerometer.

It is build with same "Logic" as my GPS app,
using Servicemodule for counting steps.
Counted steps can be reached from a Notification
But when Display goes to "Sleep" counter stops counting,
as long as display is on, counting works fine.

Any Clues ?

It is possible the device turns off the sensors when it is sleeping.
You can try using a wake lock: http://www.b4x.com/android/help/phone.html#phonewakestate

Tried PartialLock with No Luck
I think it should work with KeepAlive,
but What I wanted was to have it in sleepmode
to save power, but looks like I will fail :-(
