Android Question Question about backing up projects

Coming from a VB background when we made a backup of our project files they would not work without making a few changes or using a specific backup app for such purpose. This was because some file info was hard coded for the path to the data. With B4A, what are the rules for making and using a backup? Can I just copy the project folder and open the source and make mods to my app? Or by doing it that way does it use the files from the original location? I just want to be sure that I am not actually changing the original that I am saving for a backup.
Thanks,
schemer

my sources are in a dropbox folder and that path is different on the computers. (c:\dropbox & c:\users\username\dropbox)

all works fine without any mod so the project itself is totally relative to the project folder.

the only thin you need to take care of is that you have the libs.
