Android Question Question about emulator

I just got my copy of B4A about a week ago and I have to say that I LOVE it! I have run into one small issue with it so I thought I would ask it here.

For hardware, I have a Google Nexus phone as well as a Google Nexus 7" tablet. I want to use the emulator but I must be configuring it wrong or something. I find it quite slow to load up and while I see a blank designer screen come up, I don't see any objects come up on the emulator screen. I figure that it is something that I am doing wrong so that is why I am here. When I attach to my devices everything works just fine but I would love to make use of the emulator. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have real devices, better use them, using the emulator should be avoided like the plague, however, if you must use an emulator then try something like Genymotion.
