Question about use of http request

Hi everyone,

I wonder something. I see a lot of app that use http request to retrieve website information, for example : meteo or dictionnaries. Some app have ads in them.

But, the question I wonder : Do we have the right, to use website info in an app like this ? like make an http request on a dictionnary website to retrieve definitions or something else.

And the second do dev have the right to monetize them ?

I see a lot of app like this but don't really know if we really have the right for this type of app without auth.
