Question about voicerecognition

I tested my application that uses the VoiceRecognition.

I realized that even though the mobile network turned off (and also wifi off), recognizes the voice and the words

I remember that i had read that this library worked only with the data network
active

it is possible that i may have set something on the phone to get it to work in offline mode?

Which device are you using? Maybe it is installed with a non standard voice recognition engine.

Android 4.1 does support offline voice recognition when voice typing. However it doesn't work in other cases.
