is RDC or remote database connector for LAN connection only? or can i use it even on different wifi connections?

It just uses the current connection like your pc's browser does not care how you are connected (Wifi/LAN). In your browser you can browse different sides (example: Google, Facebook, Ebay). Same with RDC. You define a server/address. If it can reached over the network/www, everything is ok.
