Is there a way to remove the menu reference from the app? I am not sure how.

I changed my app from using a menu to using regular command buttons/nav bar.

But, on newer samsungs with android L including my galaxy S6 edge, its still throwing down the "floating orb" menu button on the screen. So I assume there is a reference somewhere that has to be removed.

All my addmenuitems are gone from the app. Not sure what to do?

If you are referring to the floating orb with 3 dots, it means you are targeting SDK < 14, change the target to SDK > 14 in your manifest.

I just checked that. I was targeting SDK 4, whoops. The manifest editor is one of those things I continuously overlook.

I bumped it up, and noticed it throws an action bar the size of china, taking up a good deal of screen real-estate. Any way to fix that?

Fix what? The height of the action bar?

Yes. Probably a custom library to do that?

This is how Android 4 theme looks. If you like you can remove the title and create a custom one.
