Hi is there any way to get a program to run kind of in screen save mode? The idea being that I have the phone lock after a few minutes and when it locks. This runs. Then if the screen is touched a certain way you go to the unlock screen.
You can run a program in the background using Services: Service Modules
However it is not possible to receive touch events when your program is in the background.

Usually right after Phone lock, the screen will also go off, unless especified by the user NOT to...so a Screen saver app is somewhat redundant...also, when in phone lock, only hardware key are trapped by the phone, again, unless specified by user, wich if so, it does not matter waht app is running as the touch is catched by the OS anyway...
At least this is my experience with my device...
Does locking the phone mean you need a numeric code to get it back open again? Therefore, if you have not set a lock code, then you cannot lock your phone? I'm just trying to understand how the phone lock mechanism works.
