Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Nov 5, 2017 #4 I've uploaded a new version without it: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/t...ve-to-autocompleteedittext.19379/#post-111667 Even with 10,000 the index is built quite fast so the simple synchronous approach works good enough. It is possible to add a semi-asynchronous option if it is too slow. Upvote 0

The only thing I noticed in the new version of SearchView class is the removal of this line from the class. What else is changed? Code: Copy If i Mod100 = 0 Then DoEvents 2. Since there are over 7000 records in the text file, it does not start showing the list until you type the 2nd letter. Example: When you type p, you do not see anything, but the list start appearing when you type the second letter : po, even with a faster processor. . No memory time out. Is that by design or 7000 records indexed is too much? 3. I tried a few months ago to run the original version (the one without the customview in the designer) using this below nice feature: Code: Copy 'Don't forget to add the SetActivityAttribute in the manifest editor (already added in this example) Private Sub IME_HeightChanged (NewHeight As Int, OldHeight As Int) SearchView1.ActivityHeightChanged(NewHeight) End Sub But never was successful, unless I used the SearchView created in the designer. Erel B4X founder Staff member Licensed User Longtime User Nov 5, 2017 #6 1. The progress dialog was also removed. 2. Change MIN_LIMIT in the class globals to 1. It should still be fast. 3. This question is not related to this thread. Upvote 0
