SipFone is a SIP softphone for Android. It could save your long distance phone bill after connected to VOIP service provider via WIFI or 3G.

This app is based on android native sip stack. To run this app your android phone need to be above version 2.3. And even this there is no guarantee all android phones match this condition could run this app because your phone firmware might already disabled VOIP option.

After you run SipFone app, it running in background as a service. So, your 3G android phone is actually a dual modes phone now. It could accept both 3G phone call and SIP phone call.

Drawbacks:

1, Use close to do unregister job. Wait Mr.Erel to implement unregister method in next version of SIP library.

2, Lack of early media so could not hear ringback tone from remote side. This is not a bug of b4a sip library. Has to wait till andriod SDK implement that feature.

Just tried your application, It works well. I am also working on a SIP phone for a specialized application. One question if you would not mind answering. How are you generating the DTMF tones in the application?
