Smtp strange behavior

Hi.
I have a wifi that my app fail every time sending email through gmail.
It works in every other network (wifi or cell)
The funny thing is that other apps on my phone are working including one I wrote using tasker (phone automaton) that send emails using the same account / credentials.

Do you have and idea to what us different in net lib implementation for smtp than any other apps I have that can explain it.

Im doing few retries as well and it happen every rime for few weeks so it can not be network noise or something similar

I guess its a firewall thing but why only b4a implementation?

Planning to put a sniffer and get more info...

Did you try SMTP.UseSSL = True

Yes, I think with gmail you have to have SSL .

Are you sure that the apps use the same port?

thats why I needed the sniffer
I see now it is using port587 (no SSL right ?)
I will try this next time I get to that WifI

cany use port 587 since it use some kind of security that is not supported
any suggestion ?
