Specified bluetooth api is not available

Until now I was able to use bluetooth for my nexus 7 with c4a. I added some code to the application and got this message when trying to test it.
"Specified bluetooth api is not available." I did not specify an api unless it was inadvertently so could it be something in the new code I added? I do not have code that allows users to use bluetooth with my app. I only use bt for connecting with the device. Thanks for any help or advice.

I am using a usb adapter on my PC and it must have been turned off although the blue light was still on. After turning the adapter back on, that message no longer appeared but now when trying to connect, the log says:
"Starting connection process: Success"
"This step can take several seconds" (instantaneous)
"Connection process completed Error:Access denied"
As far as I can tell, the device has been added to the computer
Same thing with a different device.

Using bridge 2.07
B4a 2.30
It was working fine a couple of days ago. Before rebooting (takes a while) does anything jump out as the problem and a solution?
