SqLite and -wal -shm

Regarding this: Write-Ahead Logging
I noticed that my sqlite db added those two files automatically on the db directory while running. I don't understand what kind of effects that thing can involve and if that can preclude the operativity of one app. Thanks

Did you encounter any error?

[timo]

Those files appear only in new phones versions, not in old ones.
No, no errors at all.
But I'm swiss, and this kind of uncontrolled things troubles me

This is a new feature that is only available in newer devices which include SQLite 3.7. There is a PRAGMA command which you can issue to use the older journal mode. This is only needed if you intend to share the database file with older devices.

Erel, can you post example using wi.fi and "pragma" for share dbsqlite?

[Erel]

You should execute the following command after opening the database:

sql.ExecNonQuery("PRAGMA journal_mode=DELETE")

scusa EREL avevo tradotto male il post, Vorrei sapere che strada prendere,se possibile, per condividere un database sqllite su più device tramite rete wi fi

I apologize EREL mistranslated the post, I would like to know which way to go, if possible, to share a database of more SqlLite device via wi fi

[Erel]

You need to copy the database file. There are several ways to do it and it depends on your requirements.

You can use the Network library to copy a file over wifi. See the Network tutorial.
