Android Question String functions B4A

I am a VB.net programmer for many years and few days ago a bought my licence for B4A.
i am trying to use the string manipulation function (the Mid function to be exact).

I added the library files in the extra libraries folder and from the libraries Manager i added StringFunction v 1.05.

Then I added this Code

Sub Globals

Dim SF As StringFunctions
SF.Initialize

End Sub

now when i use the Mid function it gives as error (Undeclared variable "mid" is used before it was assigned to any value).

what am i missing here??

I would suggest you familiarize with the native way of manipulating strings in B4A, there is documentation and samples posted on the forum.

A variable of type string is actually an instance of a String object https://www.b4x.com/android/help/core.html#string

Instead of mid() look at https://www.b4x.com/android/help/core.html#string_substring2

you can use the Functions like this

SF.Initialize
Dim str As String = SF.Mid( TextStr, Start, Length)
