iOS Question Text not centered vertically

All the text in my labels is not centered vertically - would almost thing this was aligned top

<label>.TextAlignment = MenuItemEntry.ItemText.ALIGNMENT_LEFT
<label>.Multiline          = False

Text just doesn't look the way I would like

It should be vertically centered.

Maybe the label size is not what you expect.

Interesting.
I am creating a label and adding to a panel the label height is (50dip - was/is from/sharing Android code) and the text doesn't appear centered.

Let me investigate more. Maybe make a little example
