Hello everyone.

Yesterday I reviewed the TIOBE index and it is B4x.
What is TIOOBE? In short, their definition:

The TIOBE Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages. The index is updated once a month. The ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third party vendors. Popular search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, Amazon, YouTube and Baidu are used to calculate the ratings. It is important to note that the TIOBE index is not about the best programming language or the language in which most lines of code have been written.

But what surprised me still was that B4x came in 54th place.
B4X is on the 51st to 100th language ranking.

I don't remember seeing B4X on the list before. Maybe it will roast slowly upwards.

In my opinion, the index doesn't imply a good programming language. You may say it can tell how "popular" it is. Developers, especially beginners are posting more questions in stack-overflow or doing more searches because they tend to make more mistakes and errors when they are starting to learn a new programming language with steep learning curve. I think these languages are more difficult to understand. Another reason is some languages are just a hype or more talk about in the enterprise. I have seen many people having difficulty in Python and new JavaScript frameworks. These languages have not well documented and release of new versions make things worse. I seen the TIOBE index also take consideration of Chinese web browsers. So, if the high population country like China know about B4X, it will help B4X ranking go up to the top 50. That is why I am creating more contents in this language and help the Chinese B4X members to make B4X more popular.

Another point is the popular code sharing platform github always misunderstood B4X code as VB.NET or VBA.
