transfer of data from a pc application to and from Android

Hi All,
I have an application written in delphi that I need to have data synchronized with data on my Android application.
My clients will not have xammp. They will be on the most part computer novices.
I have tried a json httpUtils idea, but Erol says firewall issues are a problem. I did try this with my firewall disabled but still did not work.

Any thoughts on what would be the best way of transfering data etc. I can transfer the entire database by ftp if that was needed.
An idea I had was a ftp server within the pc side of the application.

Run an FTP server is possible solution. I also recommend you to check B4AServer: B4AServer - simplifies development of enterprise in-house Android applications

Had a look at that today. But would my clients need to have mysql up and running tho. I am trying to keep things easy for them.
Computer skills for them are a bit of a worry.

No. They only need to run a batch file.
