Android Question TTS speaking too quickly for some languages only ?

Hello,

I have tried to localize an app of mine and experienced this problem : when the TTS engine is set to English the sentences are audible and the TTS speed is normal with a really nice voice. But when I change the language of the phone to Spanish, the text is spoken too quickly.

Of course, I have tried to change the TTS SpeechRate for Spanish and set it to 0.1 with success. But I don't know if it is the best way to fix this behavior.

I have to tell that I previously installed the Google's TTS packages.

Setting the SpeechRate property is the only configurable setting available.

Thanks Erel for the quick reply. But shouldn't the speech rate be the same for all languages ?
What I mean that it is correct for English with a speechrate of 1.

It should be. Apparently there is something wrong with the speech engine.
