Wish Update Jetty with Regex Path Matching

Newer versions of Jetty seem to support regex path matching allowing for more advanced paths when creating a handler: https://github.com/eclipse/jetty.project/issues/7748
Is it possible to update this internal library? I have no idea how much work this would be.
